In Queensland you must have a valid Recreational Marine Drivers License (RMDL) to operate a boat that has an engine power greater than 4.5kW. To obtain a marine license you must be at least 16 years old. Once you have successfully completed the BoatSafe course you will be given a statement of competency, this statement is valid for 6 months.

To operate a Jet Ski in Queensland you must hold both a Jet Ski (PWC) and a Recreational Marine Drivers License. To enrol in this course, you must already hold a RMDL.

This course is tailored for those who wish to obtain both an RMDL & PWC Licence on the same day.
Once you have successfully completed the BoatSafe course you will be given a statement of competencies for both RMDL & PWC. A discount is applied for those who complete both Licenses on the same day.
